Home & Postal Service
Home Visit
 If you are unable to visit one of our road shows, or it is impractical for you to do so, we can provide a home service by mutual appointment; although this is dependant on your location. We have team members based in various areas of the UK therefore it might be possible to arrange a free, no obligation valuation (as per our road shows) during the day, evening or weekend. If this is a service that might be of interest or benefit to you please contact us to discuss whether we have someone in your area.
Postal Service
Alternatively, we can provide a free valuation service by post. Send us the items you want valued for possible sale via the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service. This service provides insurance in the post up to £500 automatically. However we suggest you pay a little extra and increase the insured amount to £2,500.
Once posted the Post Office will hand you a receipt, keep this safe, as it bears a reference number which you can use too track the progress of your parcel using the Royal Mail tracking service. On receipt of your package we will quickly assess the gold or items received and contact you immediately with an offer. Like our road shows, there is no obligation for you to accept our offer, in which case your goods will be returned to you promptly. If you do accept our quotation we will arrange to pay you immediately (including reimbursement of your postal charges) by whatever method you wish. Probate
Valuations
Valuations for the purpose of probate occur after the death of the owner of any jewellery and, if you are settling an estate, is the valuation you need to ensure a fair distribution of value among heirs. It is also to prove a value for inheritance tax. This type of valuation should not be used for insurance purposes as the values have no relationship to the replacement value of the items. The values given will be much lower as the assessment will be according to the current open market value at the time of death.
