What kind of jewellery or other items do you buy?

We'll buy all the gold, silver and platinum jewellery you want cash for. Old jewellery, coins, broken jewellery, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, pendants - we buy it all. If you have any doubts give us a call or bring your items to one of our road shows for a no nonsense evaluation.

I have various items of gold jewellery in different carat weights - how do you calculate the price?

Items will be graded (e.g. 9k, 18k etc) and weighed according to its carat value. This can make a big difference in the price you receive.

I have various items of jewellery I want to sell but it is not hallmarked - do you buy that?

Yes we do.  We can test items to ascertain the gold or platinum content then we grade and weigh according to its carat value.

Why should I sell my items to you?

A fair question! Between our team members we have been doing business in the UK for over 75 years and are properly trained and experienced to help you realise the highest value for your items. The road shows provide our customers with quick access to cash for items lying around unused or unwanted and our satisfied clients like our fast service and instant payments. But please bear in mind you are not obligated to sell anything if for any reason you are not happy with the service provided or the cash being offered.  Most important of all, you will definitely not be pressurised to do anything you are not comfortable with and are welcome to leave and seek a second opinion.

How do I know I can trust you?

Trust and service are the two standards we meet with 100% effort each and every day.  We are a company with unquestionable ethics and pride in what we do. We have handled literally thousands of customer items without ever having a problem.  But again, remember, you are under no obligation to sell if for any reason you are unsatisfied with our service.

Do I need an appointment to come to your Road shows?

Absolutely not! During our road shows we serve our customers on a first-come first-served basis. We strive to keep any wait time to within 15 minutes, but on occasions the waiting time might be a little longer dependent on the time of day.

How will I be paid?

We will pay you in CASH! We are fair and honest buyers and pay the highest payments we can based on the prevailing value for gold, silver and platinum. If in our opinion your item or items are re-saleable we may offer an even higher price! In all cases a fair market value will be offered.

Why is the cash offer significantly less than my independent insurance valuation?

The appraised value for insurance purposes is an estimate of the retail replacement cost which includes both the wholesaler's and retailer's profits. Consequently, the insurance value will be significantly higher (maybe even twice the purchase price) than the actual cash value.

What is a realistic value I can expect for my items?

First an example: A diamond ring bought for £1,000 at a retail jeweller does not have the value of £1,000 on the wholesale market or even (in some cases) a value of £500. Why not? The short answer is profit! Every item of jewellery passes through several hands and each expect a profit. Therefore, it is not uncommon for a retail jeweller to charge double (or more) what they paid for an item and with very good reason. They have premises, staff, advertising and other overheads to pay for. So what is the cash value? Realistically somewhere between the current scrap value for the precious content and what we could expect to sell it on (if possible) as a piece of second-hand jewellery or collectible. What that value is can only be assessed on the day. So the answer to the main question is "a value that is agreed upon by all parties".

Do you do appraisals for insurance purposes at your Road Shows?

We DO NOT appraise jewellery for insurance purposes - we make cash offers. Insurance valuations are typically for the retail replacement value. This value is the opposite end of the spectrum from what a cash offer will be. Consequently, we cannot both appraise items and make cash offers for the same items as there is an inherent conflict of interest. If you do need an insurance valuation for your item/s, we are able to do this outside of the road show for a small fee.

Am I obligated to sell my items at your Road shows?

Definitely not! You are under no obligation to sell your items to us after we have reviewed them for possible purchase and you are free to seek another opinion if you wish. Additionally, there are no fees or appointment required - its first come first served!
